Black Hills Alibi 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe tenth vintage of Alibi, 2013, stays the course with its 25 percent sémillon (barrel fermented in puncheons) while the seventy five percent sauvignon blanc see only stainless steel. Love the 13.4 percent alcohol, could we reduce that? Typically fresh, especially out of the gate before the sémillon ages too much. It offers a mix of grapefruit, figs and tropical fruit with a savoury and slightly bitter undercurrent. The fruit speaks to an almost perfect growing season. Shellfish would be the ticket here or any raw seafood.Tasted: 02 January 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
