Champagne, FranceGreat to see a vintage champagne of this quality at this price. The nose is an enticing mix of citrus, apricot and yeasty biscuit notes that spill across the palate. The attack is smooth and creamy with a certain elegance mixing honey and minerals with nuts and acidity. This is a lot of fun to sip. Seems like good value in Canada at $60, not sure what you call it at $30 in the USA. The Grand Millésimé is a 45/40/15/ blend of chardonnay, meunier and pinot noir age five-plus years on its lees.
