Stag's Hollow Syrah 2011
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnother fine effort from Stag's Hollow despite the vintage. Like the previous edition it opens with an attractive white pepper nose spiked with meat, floral (viognier) black cherry notes. The attack is fresh with enough nervous acidity to balance off the vanilla, chocolate, poultry spice and black fruit flavours. A little more polished than the 2010 with more silky tannins in the back end.
