Rich, full, round, juicy, suave palate with very ripe tannins. Very peppery, smoky, savoury, Christmas cake, cassis, black berry, cedar, tobacco, meaty, licorice and chocolate flavours. Warm, oaky, smooth talking style here with lots of intensity for that beef or lamb dish. Drinkable now but should improve with two to five more years in bottle.
