Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileThis all Maipo fruit cabernet exhibits the regional aromas of cassis/menthol/bay leaf with an earthy, chocolate undercurrent. The attack is dry and fresh the tannins light with blackcurrant, black olives and mocha/chocolate flavours rubbed with 'boldo' or wild dried herbs. Some 60% of the wine is aged in American oak barrels the remainder in stainless steel vats.
