Fonseca Quinta do Panascal 1998
Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalA somewhat richer style made from a single quinta with spicy, floral, peppery, earthy, liquorice, coffee, walnut, black cherry, fig and balsamic aromas. Rich, full, juicy, slightly tannic palate with a bit of warmth. Very peppery, walnut, prune plum, spicy, dried fig and licorice flavours. Good concentration and length. This is developing well but has a good future for the next 3-10 years. A bit chunkier than the Vargellas from Taylor.Tasted: 02 June 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $80.00 | 750ml | speculative - Pacific Wine & Spirits Inc. |
