CedarCreek Riesling 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Darryl Brooker suggest "riesling often defies logic in that more sugar doesn't always equal more flavour. In 2012 the riesling was fermented cold (8-9 degrees Celsius) and slow (77 days) to retain the aromatics. Citrus remains the theme although there is a touch of richness and sweet riesling on the mid-palate. Love the fresh limey notes mixed with green apples and more citrus in the back end. Straightforward, fresh, affordable riesling that will work with everything from fish to grilled pork.Tasted: 09 June 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA wine shops |
