Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe 2010 reserve is 94/4/2/mix of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and cabernet franc. The nose is a very pleasing aromatic fresh blackberry scented affair with bits of black olive, dried herbs and toasted oak. The texture is brilliant, with soft slippery fine grained tannins the preview its earthy, savoury black fruit mid-palate and finish. All class here and just a baby. A special edition given the cool year with no heat spikes and along ripening period. Forty days of skin contact precede 19 months in New French oak and multiple blending. Fabulous.
