Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port 2011
Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalNow tasted twice, July 2013 and March 2014 and it's safe to say this will be a great Taylor for the cellar. Vargellas was the first Taylor quinta to harvest beginning September 10 smaller amounts were contributed by Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco. The nose is still youthful and fragrant with floral violet tones, black tea and dried herbs. The palate is stacked with dark berry fruit and a wealth of sweet tannins - plum jam, liquorice root, mineral orange peel and black tea fill out the finish.
