Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceFrom a small plot at Chateau L'Hospital on the hill of La Clape, overlooking the Mediterranean, this has a meaty, savoury, sausage, black olive, blackberry, leather, roasted plum, menthol and gingerbread pudding nose. Rich, round, full and concentrated with suave but rich small-grained tannins. Liquorice, stony, peppery, cigar, meaty, chocolate, leather, blackberry and vanilla flavours. Long and intense, showing good syrah character now but needs 5-10 years to fully mature. the blend is 90/10 syrah, mourvedre.Tasted: 29 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
