Gérard Bertrand Cigalus Rouge 2011

Sud de France, FranceBertrand works without a formula here and has 15-20 possibilities to come up with the final blend. Wild plum, smoky, liquorice, cigar, black cherry, cassis, floral, savoury, menthol and curry aromas. Rich, full, round, suave and warm palate but in with an intense, juicy style. Savoury, menthol, black cherry, black raspberry, cassis, chocolate, leather, vanilla, five spice and liquorice flavours dominate. Long, rich and concentrated with very good acidity, this is big and needs 2-5 years despite the suave tannin structure. You could cellar this wine for decade with ease.Tasted: 29 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
