Gérard Bertrand Cigalus Rouge 2010
Tautavel, Côtes du Roussillon Villages, Roussillon, Sud de France, FranceA massive red with spicy, coffee, cocoa, cassis jam aromas flecked with savoury, tobacco, cedar and vanilla aromas. Rich, concentrated, suave, ripe palate with fine grip and good acidity. The attack is full of smoky, peppery, chocolate, coffee, peppery, black olive, cedar, blackberry and kirsch flavoured fruit over vanilla. Great flavour intensity with a slightly rustic country finish. Needs a few years to round out but a fine effort.Tasted: 22 October 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $59.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Pacific Wine and Spirits |
