Frescobaldi Castelgiocondo Lamaione Merlot 2007

Tuscany, ItalyBig black cherry, coffee, vanilla, cigar, floral, meaty, waxy, incense and carrot top aromas. Ripe, round, warm and juicy with a grainy, somewhat tannic palate. Black cherry, orange peel, tobacco, leather, coffee, smoky, black olive, cedar and vanilla flavours. Big warm but very fine fruit and concentration with balanced acidity. Young, still needs 2-5 years. A great wine with roasted meats.Tasted: 29 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
