Mazzei Ser Lapo Chianti Classico Riserva 2007
Tuscany, ItalyOne of the best things about sangiovese is its transparency and more red fruits and minerality with less oak and extraction. You will love the bright red fruit here, the earthy dried herbs and bright acidity supporting the wine from front to back and the back end richness from the 10 per cent merlot. Food is the final piece of the puzzle, steak Florentine would be perfect. As for Ser Lapo, he was the author of the first official document mentioning 'Chianti' wine in 1398.Tasted: 25 May 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml | |
