Viader Vineyards Proprietary Red Wine 2007
Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, California, United StatesOpen bright blueberry and menthol aromas with flecks of violet and red liquorice. The attack is firm but lush with dusty dried herbs, Howell Mountain power and chalky tannins mixing with black cherries, black raspberries and dark chocolate. A rich almost uncharacteristic jammy style with sweet fruit that will need time in the bottle to settle into the classic Viader mold. Impressive. Served with whole roasted Canadian prime rib-eye, Taleggio polenta, preserved cherry tomato, grilled rapini crispy elephant garlic roasted garlic jus. In '07 the blend was 71 cabernet sauvignon and 29 cabernet franc.Tasted: 22 April 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:ON | $110.00 | 750ml | |
