Viader Vineyards Proprietary Red Wine 2006
Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, California, United StatesStrong mineral pencil lead/graphite earthy and dark fruit scents on the nose. The attack is similar with plummy earthy chocolate flavours flecked with coffee, dried herbs and pepper. The textures are glossy and supple with sweet tannins in the back end. Still youthful at seven years and just starting to shed some of those Howell Mountain tannins. Served with whole roasted Canadian prime rib-eye, Taleggio polenta, preserved cherry tomato, grilled rapini crispy elephant garlic roasted garlic jus. In '06 the blend was 66 cabernet sauvignon and 34 cabernet franc.Tasted: 22 April 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $83.00 | 750ml | average retail |
