Domaine de Beaurenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2009
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceIntense spicy/jasmine aromas jump from this fragrant red that smells like mid-summer in the vineyard. On the palate there's a whack of ground white pepper, and delicious, very mature black raspberry fruit laced with smoky liquorice and more jasmine/five-spice finish. There is no rush to drink this 70% grenache blend. Drink through 2020 easily with most grilled or roasted meat dishes.Tasted: 20 January 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $58.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Trialto |
