Domaine de Beaurenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2001
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceBright fragrant blueberry fruit nose with licorice, leather and plenty of underlying sweet roasted pepper, spicy clove and cardamom. On the palate there's a whack of ground white pepper, and delicious, super ripe black raspberry and blueberry fruit all with a smoky licorice Chinese five-spice finish. Super quality. The blend is 70% grenache, 10% syrah, 10% mourvèdre, 10% cinsault.Tasted: 28 July 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $50.95 | 750ml | Specialty |
