Valle de Aconcagua, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThe blend is 84 percent cabernet sauvignon 10 percent carmenère with bits of petit verdot and syrah although winemaker Francisco Baettig is eliminating the syrah moving forward. This wine is delicious with round soft tannins and a smooth sleek undercarriage with no herbaceous notes. It's typically Don Maximiano with its mix of red and black fruits and cedar but this edition is slightly more feminine and will be ready to drink over the next three to five years.
