Sette Ponti Oreno 2009

Tuscany, ItalyOreno 2009 is a new wine with the sangiovese scrubbed in favour of a 50/40/10 blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot. The nose is über impressive so rich and expressive with sweet aromas of black fruit and an intriguing under current of savoury black liquorice. The attack is firm and dry but with superb elegance and length. The palate is awash in bright blue fruit flavours and supple round textures with hints of chocolate and cedar in the finish. Seriously delicious red wine with a big future, and when compare to Bordeaux prices, it is a bargain.Tasted: 05 October 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
