Quails' Gate Chardonnay 2011

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA solid, well-made chardonnay that mixes bits of bread dough and tropical fruit aromas with flecks of orange and butter. The attack is fresh and juicy if a touch sweet with fine weight and green apple, honey, mineral and hazelnut notes throughout. An excellent cool style that offers good value at $19. A solid pick for restaurants and salmon. The mix is 50/50 tank and wood fermented with only 20 percent new French and American oak.Tasted: 21 October 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
