Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe latest Layer Cake shiraz is intensely Oz with its over-the-top cedar, mint and resin throughout mixed with sweet chocolate, soupy blueberry fruit flavours and a slightly acidic finish. The finish is warm and super spicy. I suggest hamburgers might tame the wild characters but it is not our favourite.
