Boutari Naoussa 2008
Naousa, Makedonia, GreeceAlways earthy and peppery on the nose you also pick up hints of black cherry, liquorice and smoky meaty notes. The style is Euro lean with a dry, tight palate all with a modicum of suppleness. The flavours follow the nose with black cherry, sage, leather flavours leading and some prominent acidity in the finish. Try this with grilled lamb for best results. Naoussa is made using the indigenous and ancient grape variety: xynomavro.Tasted: 25 March 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $16.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
