John Duval Entity Shiraz 2006

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaJohn Duval's 'Entity' shiraz is all about Barossa Valley shiraz. Smoky bacon, white pepper, rich and opulent it is loaded with liquorice, vanilla and meaty, tobacco, garrigue, celery salt and plum, blackberry aromas. Rich, ripe, round and supple its warm velvety palate come with balanced acidity and a huge whack of blackberry/blueberry fruit, dark chocolate and savoury notes from the oak. The tannins are high quality and chalky with after ageing in 33 percent, 300-litre new French oak hogshead. Terrific styling and delicious drinking.Tasted: 20 September 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
