Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha 2009
Campo de Borja, Aragon, SpainIt's difficult not to like this exuberant red wine and its fresh, spicy, floral fragrant nose. The attack is warm and spicy showing some hefty alcohol mixed with a touch of Brettanomyces and fairly rustic tannins. The palate is awash in black pepper, black cherries and black olives with along dry firm finish. A bit Rhone like but still very much its own wine. If the Brett remains in check it should be a great bottle in five years time.Tasted: 16 September 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $28.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
