Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaReserve 7 is blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc with a dusting of malbec and a speck of syrah. Lots of green smoky oak with tobacco and leather notes. The palate is similarly flavoured with dark red fruits but the wine is awkward and rustic. The duelling French and American oak doesn't appear to help the balance.
