JoieFarm PTG 2008

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPTG stands for "Passetoutgrain" the classic, gulp-able red from Burgundy that combines gamay and pinot noir. At Joie the plan is a much more serious wine and while PTG has all the components to be good it remains a bit youthful and rustic lacking freshness and style. Intense cherry fruit is bathed in oak and spice and for the moment is not showing much other than primary, candied cherries and unknit oak and a warm spicy finish. Best with a hearty fall/winter dishes.Tasted: 02 October 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
