Painted Rock Chardonnay 2009
Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMango, butter, vanilla, lees, canned grapefruit aromas with a touch of fruit cocktail and baked green apple. Dry, crisp, somewhat austere entry with light extract. Light lees, vanilla, butter, grapefruit, passion fruit, green apple skin flavours and a touch of cedar. Finish is waxy with a very buttery, tart, austere edge. All headed in the right direction it just needs a bit more fruit intensity to absorb the rest of the wine.
