Tuscany, ItalyOur latest look at Ruffino's Il Ducale doesn't disappoint. We love the latest mix of 60/20/20 sangiovese/merlot and syrah. The sangiovese is fragrant, floral and spicy while the smooth textures of the merlot and the fleshy meaty spicy fruit of the syrah fill in the frame. A mini super-Tuscan at a bargain price this is a fine and affordable dinner wine at home or in a restaurant.
