Batasiolo Barbaresco 2005
Piedmont, ItalySmoky, tar, chocolate, licorice root, meaty, strawberry jam, barnyard aromas with a touch of tobacco leaf and garrigue. Dry, round, full palate with some ripe, grainy tannins and a touch of austerity. Spicy, peppery, smoky, coffee, tobacco, vanilla, cherry jam, dried herb and meat flavours. Good finesse and length, needs 3-5 years but well balanced, more elegant style.
