Carmen Cabernet Sauvignon Gold Reserve 2002
Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileDusty, "Rutherford-like" earthy cassis jam with menthol, chocolate, tobacco aromas spiked with black olive, barnyard and coriander. Rich, round and full with supple tannins and good freshness but a bit warm. Big peppery, menthol, cassis jam and leather flavours with tobacco, licorice and cedar. The finish is coffee, earth and coriander. Very Maipo and very cabernet. Will cointinue to improve in bottle over the next 3-7 years. Well done.Tasted: 10 November 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $77.95 | 750ml | speculative listing - Calibrium |
