Le Serre Nuove Dell' Ornellaia 2004

Bolgheri, Tuscany, ItalyThe Ornellaia 'bambino' has a rich nose of olives, menthol and smoky, cherry, spicy, meaty notes flecked with pencil lead, coffee, tobacco and cassis. The entry is dry, round and supple with fine acidity and tannin management. On the palate the attack is relatively soft with smoky, spicy, olive and black cherry fruit mixed with bits of meaty, vanilla flavours, mint, chocolate and clove notes. Youthful but will fill the gap nicely while you wait for papa Ornellaia. Top quality Italian red wine that will be even better in two or three years when all the parts come together.Tasted: 09 May 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
