Jackson-Triggs Merlot Proprietors' Grand Reserve 2001
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHuge spicy, coffee, mocha (JT style) with ripe black cherry cola, resiny, vanilla Christmas pudding nose - no lack of oak here. Dry, rich, fat and round with grainy tannins but quite warm (alcoholic). Again, big sweet vanilla, coffee, peppery, spicy, black cherry and plum flavours with a big cedar, toasted oak, roasted coffee bean finish. Rich ripe structure overall and quite alcoholic but a fine 2001, especially for oak lovers.Tasted: 09 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.99 | 750ml | Specialty |
