Ca'Marcanda Promis 2001
Bolgheri, Tuscany, ItalyPromis represents the combination of grapes from Gaja's two Tuscan estates - Merlot and Syrah from Ca' Marcanda and Sangiovese from Pieve Santa Restituta in Montalcino. The blend will vary from year to year as Ca' Marcanda's vineyards mature. Peppery, pencil lead, cedar, gamey black cherry nose with streaks of coffe, mint and leaf compost. Dry, round and slightly tannic with cedar, mint, coffee, green olive, black cherry flavours with some smoky game notes on the finish.
