Tenuta Luce della Vite 1999
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyA 50/50 blend of sangiovese and merlot in 1999 Luce has a bright minty, clove, spicy, cedary, plum tobacco nose mixed with compost, barnyard, and vanilla and saddle leather notes. Very complex. Round, elegant and dry with refined Tuscan tannins. Nice cedary, tobacco, minty, cherry jam, cassis flavours and an earthy, gamey finish. Young and a bit dry and tight at this stage, needs 3-5 years to fully come around.
