Domaine de Beaurenard Boisrenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2001
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceOpen mineral, slate nose with honey and rose aromas and a background of marmalade and anise. Rich, round and slightly oily but very unctuous and fresh. A bit alcoholic but has nice honey, slate, anise, spicy, orange flavours. Quite elegant with a long, mineral spicy lees finish. A great white Châteauneuf, perhaps one of the best, although the price would suggest the same.Tasted: 16 June 2003Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:BC | $87.95 | 750ml | Speculative - Winspeer |
