La Morra, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyAs Empson so rightly puts it the Marcarini Brunate is famous in the Barolo region for constantly expressing the elegance of La Morra. At 27,000 bottles there isn't much for the world but this '99 is worth tracking down. The fruit and flavours are powerful; the tannins big and round. Not as rich as the La Serra but more intense and more Euro.
