Bordeaux, FranceThe Cadet rouge mixes grapes from Cotes Bourg, Cotes de Blaye, Cotes de Franc and Entre-Deux-Mers. A normal blend would feature about 55 percent merlot, 30 percent cabernet sauvignon and 15 percent cabernet franc. Only 10 percent of the wine selected blind from over 2000 samples makes its way to the Saint Laurent winery. Look for clean fruit flavours and medium intensity.
