Napa Valley, California, United StatesOpen ripe cassis, barnyard, leather, cherry, earthy nose with some dusty, spicy, green bean and pepper notes in the background. Dry and somewhat tight with leaner tannins, the wine is still very well balanced and quite polished. Good vanilla, earthy, peppery, dusty cassis flavours with a spicy, vanilla, leather finish. The leaner, dry tannins are again like many 1998's from Napa.
