Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay Grand Reserve 1999
California, United StatesMostly separate lots of Sonoma fruit with some Santa Barbara but aged in mostly French oak. Layers of tropical fruit, pear, apple and citrus aromas complemented by well-integrated vanilla, spice, clove and smoke notes. We like the wood restraint and its bright spicy apple, toasty lees, honey and citrus butter flavours. A simple California appellation doesn't do the wine justice.Tasted: 01 September 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $47.90 | 750ml |
