Real Wine : Free Form White 2017

By: Treve Ring
Supernatural Okanagan Valley, BC

Free Form is a stand-alone non-intervention, organic wine label from Haywire Winery.

This is the most naturalist line from the winery that has broken all preconceptions of what is and can be possible in Okanagan winemaking.

All wines are native fermented in a mix of concrete / amphora / neutral wood before resting on skins for an extended period, with no inputs or outtakes, before bottling unfiltered, without SO2.

Even the packaging breaks free from form. Free Form labels are made of eco-friendly stone paper: ground stones turned into a fine powder, which is then rolled to thinness and bound with a small amount of resin. The process uses no water and no paper.
