Happy New Year from GOW

By: Anthony Gismondi
A Toast to Champagne.

Our latest Top Ten celebrates the art of celebrating, something we haven’t done much of this year across British Columbia, and for good reason.

From Covid to heat domes to wildfires to floods to Arctic outflows, no year has been more challenging for many, and will be for many months. Still, there is strength in numbers, as evidenced by the many who have stepped up to help those in need. Your efforts are worthy of a quiet celebration, and there is no better drink to do it with than champagne. If you have been wondering if there will be a shortage of the highly coveted bubble, the answer is yes and no. Some labels are sold out, but many are still on shelves. The GOW team highly recommends these picks, and we checked to see that they were widely available today, December 30. So grab a bottle sit back, and try to relax for a day. Next week is another year.
