Hillside Mosaic 2019

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHillside's flagship red comes entirely from Naramata Bench fruit and is crafted through careful barrel selection. It has been on the upswing for nearly a decade now and makes the case for Naramata red blends with elegance and power. The '19 blend comprises 51% merlot, 18% cabernet sauvignon, 14% malbec, 10% cabernet franc, and 7% petit verdot. It was aged for 16 months in 55% new French oak, then for another full year in neutral oak after the final blend. The nose and palate reveal dark cherry, blackberry, and dark plum, alongside cedar, graphite, dried herbs, and pepper. Concentrated yet fresh, the palate offers polished tannins, savoury complexity, and a persistent mineral finish. Decant for one to two hours before serving, or cellar through the early 2030s.Tasted: 18 August 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
