Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaGold Digger continues to be one of the most distinctive single block Rieslings in the Okanagan, and in 2025 it is superb. From another Storm Haven single site, winemaker Alan Dickinson searches for the ultimate cru blocks. Gold Digger makes the best of the shattered slate and sandy gravel soils. Look for a lime and mango quenching palate with a sleek, elegant, mineral finish that you seldom see in any wine. If you have been waiting for BC wines to arrive, your wait is over. Let's hope there is some of this left that you can still buy.Tasted: 15 April 2026Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Storm Haven single site rieslings are what winemaker Alan Dickinson considers his Grand Cru selections, sourced from various parts of their biodiverse Okanagan Falls home estate. Gold Digger is a section of the north block, planted in 2016 on slate and sandy gravels. Savoury and saline throughout, with crushed slate structuring the wild pear, tangerine, candied lemon, zesty lime pith and crunchy green apple on the electric palate. The 73 g/L RS are gobbled up by 9.2 g/L TA, leaving a super harmonious white through the honeycomb kissed finish. Superb. 7.8%.Tasted: 08 July 2026Tasted by: Prices:
