Château Pesquié Quintessence Blanc 2024

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThe premium white blend at Pesquié is Quintessence Blanc. It aptly paints the picture of Roussanne on limestone, with 20% freshness added by the much underrated clairette. Planted at 300 metres, the cool climate of Mont Ventoux meshes perfectly with the minerality and saltiness in this fine white. The roussanne and clairette are fermented separately in concrete tanks, concrete eggs, and large barrels, and aged for one year, mostly in barrels and a single concrete egg. Complex is the word, pitching white flowers, exotic fruit, and spices through its mouth-filling textures. Look for plenty of white peach, guava, pear and citrus oil. A wonderful match for West Coast halibut.Tasted: 01 July 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
