Blue Mountain Reserve Cuvée Pinot Noir 2023
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2023 Reserve Pinot, like its predecessor, is a blend of Blue Mountain's three key Pinot vineyards, with vines now 26-36 years old. It draws on a mix of clones: 113, 114, 115, and 667. It has more density and weight than the regular Pinot, but in 2023, it has opened with reductive notes that sit on the wine, especially the fruit, making it difficult to assess at this point. I tasted the wine over two days, which helped, but it is definitely a lesser version than last year.
