Blue Mountain Blossom Slope Chardonnay Single Vineyard Block 17 2023

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlock 17 faces west, offering the 33 year old vines (clones 76, 95, and 96) a warm spot in a cooler climate. The coarse, loamy sand soils suit Chardonnay well, resulting in a more structured, mineral driven wine that, in 2023, shows greater precision. Florals, tropical fruit, and nuts open, with hints of wet stone, lemon, peach, and green pineapple. Despite only 13.5% alcohol, it's a robust and complex wine. All fruit is hand harvested, whole cluster pressed, and fermented with native yeast. The wine matures for 18 months in French oak barrels ranging from new to three years old. Drink or hold, there is no rush.Tasted: 14 February 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
