Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches 1er Cru 2023

Beaune, Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceThe Drouhin family has reported that the 2023 growing season was one of the hottest vintages in Bourgogne's modern era, surpassing the very warm 2022. That said, both yield and quality are considered generous, with the fruit showing impressive ripeness. With 14 hectares of vineyards, the most of any Clos des Mouches owner, Drouhin operates on mid-slope with an east-southeast exposure over clay limestone and marl soils. In the end, 2023 is more about elegance and charm than structure and power. The cherries, the licorice, the undergrowth all come together in a wine full of harmony. You can drink this now or in 2033, and it will only get better. Climate change isn't going away anytime soon, but the Burgundians appear to be adapting to its challenges vintage after vintage.Tasted: 07 December 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
