Drouhin Vaudon Chablis Réserve de Vaudon 2022
Chablis, Burgundy, FranceTasted alongside the classic Chablis, it is clear that the Réserve de Vaudon has a richer, more expansive palate with hints of warm pastry and almonds. That said, it has retained most of its freshness and lively acidity, plenty of lemon, and a subtle softness that carries into a saline finish. The Réserve's fruit is biodynamically farmed on the Drouhin estate, primarily from a right bank site neighbouring the Grand Cru terroirs. It is fermented and aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks for 8 months. It will age sooner rather than later, making it a mid-term chardonnay at best.
