Drouhin Vaudon Chablis Réserve de Vaudon 2021

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceDrouhin has been around since the 1880s, with the current generation's great grandfather starting the business as a negociant. In the early 20th century the family started as winemakers, purchasing and planting their first vineyards in the early 1960s. The Réserve is a richer, more expansive palate than their classic Chablis, from biodynamically-farmed Drouhin estate fruit, primarily from the right bank, neighbouring the Grand Cru terroirs. This was fermented and aged on lees in stainless over 8 months. Toasted stone, lemon curd, crunchy pear sits atop a base of river rocks, finishing snappily with a lemon twist. At this young state this wine is still a bit tight and unyielding, but expect the 2021 to open some with time in your cellar.Tasted: 26 February 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
